Jacob Skov is a qualified ceramist from Designskolen Kolding in 2001.

Functionality and form characterize Jacob Skov’s work. Often items from everyday usage are investigated and subjected to new thinking. His inspiration comes from every day life chores that puzzles or fascinates him, and finally compels him into imagining new modelling and design.

The results are often products with pure cogent lines that resemble the simpleness and tightness of the Scandinavian design tradition. Other times the result becomes more free and easy with glazing and form creating a more playful and modern expression.

Jacob Skov develops and produces most of his creations at home in his own workshop. The series Stack is produced in Vietnam.
Green energy is of great importance to Jacob Skov. All energy used in the workshop and in the firing of products is purchased from Norwegian hydroelectric plants.
