The idea for THE BENZIN SERIES came to me one day as I was driving my aunt Louise’s small green Saxo. When driving over a road barrier, the catalyst cover fell off. Suddenly I was holding a fun and exciting form that gave inspiration to a lot of new things. A closer look at the shape made me realise that it would be perfect as a bowl on my dining room table.

Since that incident I have looked for other catalyst covers and also found petrol tanks that I cut open to create new designs.

The petrol series consists of different types of dishes and bowls ranging from the very small plate for cold cuts or sushi over the medium sized plates or bowls well suited for a snack to the large bowls equipped to hold a green salad or fruit.
